The Department of MCA was started in the year 1998-1999. The course was approved by the AICTE. A band of dedicated and resourceful teachers prepare the students to fit into the modern IT-Industry environment. Excellent infrastructure Facilities available in the department and the quality IT education offered have been well appreciated by academicians. The senior batches of students have been placed in various reputed companies, and have proven themselves to be inestimable assets. Under the autonomous scheme, the MCA course aims to develop in students both knowledge and skills to apply computers in productive work in business, scientific applications in industry and research laboratories, and higher learning. The department having collaboration linkage with IT-Industries. Sophistication in every walk of life is the order of the day. The info-revolution has created a growing demand for perfect computer professionals. Our college took up the task of meeting that infrastructure and skilled mentors in 1998-99. Internship training in the 6th semester in order to expose the reality of IT industry to students. This will enable the students to understand the real working environment in software development field.
Internet of Things (IoT) special training camp (winter camp) organized to give internship training to the students to fulfil the industry skill set requirements.
Massive Online Course (MOOC) by the NPTEL, Swayam and Spoken tutorial etc. Students who complete the MOOC will be provided with extra credit.
Non-academic courses on Clean India and literacy programme to gain extra credit.
Pradhan Manthri Kaushal Vikas Yojana programme as a skill initiative by NSDC for software developer & web developer.
Placement support programmes and activity-based programmes such as soft-skill programme and project-expo are provided to the students for bringing their skills to uplift the students’ personalities.
